Kathy is an accredited psychotherapist and completed her training with the Tivoli Institute. She also holds a diploma in Theology and Community Development from NUIG and the Western Theological Institute.

Kathy works from a Humanistic and Integrative approach, which involves valuing people as experts in their own lives, helping people make decisions without advice, but with assistance, exploring people’s feelings as well as their thoughts. Exploring one’s past, including childhood relationships and inner child work, in order to gain insight into unproductive patterns of behaviour which may prevent them from leading satisfying lives. For the past ten years Kathy has worked with individuals and families affected by cancer. She is also a member of the Irish Psycho-Oncology Group. Psycho-oncology is concerned with the psychological, social, behavioural and ethical aspects of cancer.
