Who am I?
My name is Jude and I live in Galway. I am a pre-accredited psychotherapist with IACP.
I am a queer and neuro-divergent. I find spaces and relationships in which I can be myself to be a very joyful experience.
I am passionate about social justice. I often combine political activism and creativity.
I am a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of IACP.
I am a singer and a songwriter, a painter, a dancer, an avid mover. I am disabled.
I am an Irish speaker. D’fhéadfainn teiripe a dhéanamh trí mheán na Gaeilge más fearr leat.
I am fascinated by power, who has it, how it is shared, who wants it, who gives it away, the mechanisms in which people are empowered and disempowered. I keep a careful eye on power in the therapy room. I believe it to be closely intertwined with safety.
Safety is my guiding principle. I believe that it is important to have a container of safety and strengths in which to process the parts that need attention and healing.
I work with parts and welcome clients who are fragmented.
I use a somatic approach with parts and also welcome creative expressions. I believe that finding one’s voice or voices is an intrinsic part of the therapeutic journey.
I welcome clients from the queer and neuro-divergent communities.
I welcome clients who have endured physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological and sexual violence as children or as adults.
I welcome clients who are struggling with suicidal ideation.
