She has an Arts degree (National University of Ireland, Galway) in Psychology and Sociology, a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling with Turning Point, (Dublin City University), a diploma in working with loss & bereavement in childhood & adolescence (Royal College of Surgeons) and a diploma in supervision across professions (ICPPD).
Previously Michelle has worked with ProConsult, Institute of Psychotherapy in Galway and Student Counselling, NUIG. She is a founder member of Galway Community Counselling service.
As an integrative supervisor and therapist, Michelle works with a mix of backgrounds that is humanistic at the core. She draws on a number of perspectives looking at family of origin, inner child, sub-personalities, Jungian imagery, body awareness, body mind dream work and gestalt theory in her work. In addition to working one to one with individuals, Michelle works with groups using art and imagery for supervision, self awareness and personal development (CPD certification available if required).
